The designs are created by Aboriginal artists and each fabric tells a story from Aboriginal mythology. Many small color dots are often used, the designs are based on familiar wild and animal motifs and usually use a lively color palette.

The bush tomato or wild tomato plant usually looks waxy. It grows in the stream area in Australia's Northern Territory. The ripe fruits have a strong scent that can be detected over long distances. A single plant produces many fruits. These fruits are tasty. The bush tomato is rich in potassium and vitamin C sources. There are more than 100 varieties of bush tomatoes, but only a handful are edible. Some can be toxic or cause disease. Harvesters usually collect sun-dried fruit from the small bushes in late summer and early winter. Audrey Napanangka's artwork is vibrant and strong. The design shows women sitting around a waterhole with fruit already collected on the coolaman (special wooden toy) and digging sticks.
